Social Innovation Interests

My goal is to inspire university students to see the world and themselves differently. I want to help students to turn their ideas into action and impact lives in real ways worldwide. With the right support - financial, human, and creative - I know young innovators will create jobs, save lives, educate, and improve humanity.

Social Innovation Experience

I am the Director of Strategic Planning for the Dell Social Innovation Challenge. I come to social entrepreneurship from academia where I completed a PhD in Political Economy and Government at Harvard and ran a research center on globalization and its governance at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Looking forward-Social Innovation Aspirations

We at the Dell Social Innovation Challenge are pioneering a new model of purpose-driven, “engaged” education. I am excited to help develop our approach, which is interdisciplinary, encourages multilateral information flow, combines the best of offline and online learning, is global in scope, and values partnership. I want to challenge everyone to create a job they love and chart a path to pursue their passions. Everyone - young and old - should use our talents to drive positive solutions.
