Josephine Green studied History and Politics at Warwick University and has worked both in International Sales and Marketing and in Futures and Social Research for Advanced Strategy. She was appointed Senior Director of Trends and Strategy at Philips Design, Royal Philips Electronics, in 1997 and was responsible for directing research into Society, Cultures and People and its implementation into the Strategic Futures Programme. This Programme helped customers think about and implement a human focussed approach to innovation and new value creation. She has consistently worked with customers to introduce new thinking and sustainable development into their culture and processes. Josephine left Philips in 2009 to return to the UK and her company, Beyond20, promotes new thinking and new knowledge in the field of Social Foresight, Innovation and Change. Her advocacy in this field is based on the belief that we need a different way of thinking, of doing and of being in the world if we are to live well and safeguard the future. Her work explores the need for and the emergence of new social and cultural narratives and their societal, technological and organizational contexts and consequences. Josephine regularly delivers international presentations and is an advisor to European Futures and Research platforms. She lectures in masters and executive education programs at a number of UK and European Universities.
