Social Innovation Interests
My interest is to connect and inspire people from all over the world to become better innovators. At SIX we work hard to break down the silos that too often exists between sectors and regions, connect people that usually don’t engage with each other and to bring new and unexpected partnerships to life. Our network is made up of people who wants to learn, wants to share and wants to be connected- and it is our role to support that.
Social Innovation Experience
At SIX I work to support SIX’s global network for social innovation through design and delivery of new and existing programmes, TelePresence debates and international gatherings for social innovation.
Looking forward-Social Innovation Aspirations
By enabling people to become better connected and share what they know with each other, we can build on each other’s work to advance the capacity of the field. A ‘social innovator’ is anyone, from any background, sector and geographical area who are using creativity to put in place new solutions to the many challenges our societies are facing today. This can for example be through implementation of projects, advising and mentoring, creating favourable policies, funding or researching. By connecting social innovators from a wide range of sectors we can bring together a whole ecosystem of people supporting social innovation to collaborate with each other and together bring the field of social innovation forward.
Your favourite Social Innovation
One of my many favourite social innovations is Hiriko, an ultra-small, urban all-electric concept car designed at the MIT Media Lab. Hiriko is a new kind of car better at getting people around our cities, and at the same time, helping addressing the challenges of pollution, congestion, noise and parking: http://hiriko.com/
