Maslaha, Muslims and Everyday life

Maslaha will be the featured subject of the second webinar in the Cities of Migration 2009 Learning Exchange Series, which will be held on Wednesday April 29. Join the Cities of London, Toronto and Chicago for Maslaha: Supporting Muslims through the Everyday Dilemmas of Life, an online discussion on the innovative ways that religion and cultural tradition are being used to provide practical advice and promote intercultural understanding in the areas of health, education, finance and civic engagement.

The Maslaha project uses a rich mix of multimedia, practical advice and cultural tradition to bridge cultural differences and create common ground between Muslim and non-Muslim communities.

Maslaha's pilot project, "Diabetes in Tower Hamlets" is currently leading the way in the UK for the success it has achieved by combining faith and medical advice to help change patients' behaviour and promote healthy lifestyles.
