The Social Innovation Europe initiative (SIE) represents a major effort to build and streamline the social innovation field in Europe. The project is run by a consortium of partners including Euclid Network and the Danish Technological Institute and led by the Social Innovation Exchange (SIX).

Funded by the European Commission’s DG Enterprise, SIE is a hub—a meeting place in the network of European networks—where innovative thinkers from Europe can come together to create a streamlined, vigorous social innovation field in Europe, to raise a shared voice, and to propel Europe to lead the practice of social innovation globally.

If you want to find the most up to date and relevant content on social innovation in Europe, the SIE website is the best place to go.

This site aims to be an indispensible resource providing the latest information on European social innovation—a clearinghouse featuring interviews with prominent innovators, case studies of successful ventures, the latest research, and in-depth analysis from the leading thinkers in the field. The initiative has attracted a community of high-calibre writers, commentators, analysts and thinkers who make a crucial contribution, not only to the website itself, but to the collective intelligence of European social innovation. Contributors to the site take a strong hand in shaping the direction of social innovation across Europe, breaking down silos and raising a unified voice. They also find the site to be a successful means to publicise their ventures, their research and their causes. Valuable relationships form across sectors as policy makers, academics, entrepreneurs and third-sector workers collaborate through SIE to create a common understanding of what social innovation is, and what it can do.
