The Innovation & Partnership: The Role of Social Entrepreneurs in an Ageing Society conference will take place on the 21st of March, 2012 at the Congress Centre in Central London

Our ageing society faces many challenges. However, with 28.4 million people predicted to be over 50 by 2033, there is also a growing wealth of untapped potential offered by this age group. UnLtd – the Foundation for Social Entrepreneurs – believes that unleashing the energies of social entrepreneurs of all ages, including those in later life, is key to providing solutions to these challenges.

UnLtd has launched the fourth paper in its Findings Series, focusing on our learning from social entrepreneurs aged 50 and over. The findings show the personal benefit experienced by the social entrepreneur as well as the social and economic impact their ventures create. Launched this week, the UnLtd research paper Golden Opportunities: Social Entrepreneurs in an Ageing Society captures learning from working with social entrepreneurs over 50. UnLtd’s findings show the benefits social entrepreneurship offers to this age group, and the social, economic and personal impact their ventures create. This conference is builds upon the findings of the Golden Opportunities report, and other programmes supporting social entrepreneurs who address ageing issues.

Registration for the event can be completed here.
