CLES Summit: Localism for Positive Change will be held on the 4th July at the Kings House Conference Centre in Manchester.

The Summit will assert that Localism at its best, must have a purpose far beyond bland administrative decentralisation and merely local power for powers sake.  In this, it will critique and cast a torch onto localism that is merely administrative and fails to tackle the real issues which local places and people face.

We aim to provide space to make sense of what has gone before and reflect on the possible direction of policy, for creating better places.

The CLES Summit 2012 will offer delegates a range of key note speakers and interactive sessions which will interrogate current ways of thinking and offer new alternatives and solutions.  The desire for better places and a better future for our communities is never ending; this event seeks to provide hope.
